Road sketches

July 2, 2013 § 1 Comment

The Backhomes have been on tour since June 18, hence less time for illustration-related dispatches. I’ve been doing some sketching from the car which is filling the void. I’m using a brush pen (don’t mess with liquid ink in a moving vehicle) and another brush pen with a reservoir for water that you can squeeze through the pen and into the brush. Relatively mess free!

I look forward to our next days off where I can actually sit and do sketching with watercolour, especially while we’re still in the Southern US. From the top these sketches are of the BC mountains, California palm trees, and these cool spiky palms all over New Mexico.
